SupplyPro has introduced its UStockit inventory shelf tag to prevent stockouts, according to a press release.
Electronic gondola tags use electronic ink to display a price and can connect to a computer database. The tagging technology makes price changes as simple as typing a new price into the software and hitting “send”. Labels display current inventory, product name and part number.
Users can manage automated ordering, real-time stock levels, and provide restocking alerts with SupplyPro’s cloud-based inventory management software.
The company is currently beta testing the solution and positions are available for qualified product distributors. Participants will be able to keep the beta hardware and UStockit software.
The beta program will focus on quantifying reduced operational costs, improving visibility and improving inventory accuracy, as well as evaluating labor savings resulting from reduced number of cycles and automation of the replenishment process.
“What’s amazing about the inventory tag solution is that an entire warehouse can be transformed into a virtual vending machine,” said Marcy Rivard, product manager at SupplyPro, in the press release.
