Learning Technologies Specialist – 3084257 | Characteristics

TASKS: Responsible for the creation, implementation and support of learning technology and the operation of interactive applications and systems for end users. Design, develop, modify and deliver training solutions on a variety of technology platforms to support business initiatives. Serve as subject matter expert in learning management systems and e-learning tools. Consult and collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop learning content and delivery methods. Design and develop interactive virtual training workshops and instructor-led live training programs using appropriate technology learning tools. Conduct ongoing research into learning technology tools and initiatives and apply research knowledge to further improve and strengthen organizational effectiveness. Review, organize and develop storyboards, scripts, videos, audio files and job aids for online programming. Analyze, implement and conduct appropriate assessment and evaluation methods to ensure sound instructional design and the effectiveness of the learning program. Provide advisory support to technology learning tools, serve as a primary resource for questions and train end users on e-learning systems / techniques. Help prepare learning aids, including but not limited to presentations, facilitator guides, participant guides, quick reference guides, and job aids. Consult and collaborate with clients and subject matter experts to uncover business needs and develop appropriate learning objectives. Assist in the development and presentation of proposals for business development purposes. Manage priorities for e-learning projects within existing quality assurance guidelines and propose new quality assurance guidelines as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree required. Baccalaureate and short technical courses and seminars related to teaching technology. An equivalent combination of education and / or experience may replace the required education. Experience in technical writing and course development appreciated. At least three years of experience in educational technology systems and applications, including the use of e-learning authoring and development tools and web, graphics and instructional design and support.
