Jalandhar: To educate faculty and students about helping people with disabilities, the NSS Committee at Lyallpur Khalsa College Technical Campus celebrated International Disability Awareness Day. Students and faculty members from different departments donated money to Rashtriya Andh Vidyalaya, Jalandhar. The objective of the event was to help these disabled people so that they can participate fully in society. Dr RS Deol (Dy Director KCL Group) highlighted the importance of such events saying that they encourage us to help others who are in need and have motivated students and faculty members to actively participate in de such events because such events are indispensable for the benefit of society.
Design Thinking Webinar
Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya moderated an online session on “Design Thinking” at the initiative of the Institutional Innovation Council. The President of the IIC, Dr Anjana Bhatia, welcomed the resource person Partap Rajput. He described design thinking as the backbone of the solution to any problem. It is the process of finding the problem, thinking the design, and finding a solution. It’s a problem-solving process by putting customer needs first. He discussed the what, why and how of design thinking. He gave many examples to help students understand the concept of “design thinking”. He said conceptual thinking follows empathy, defining the problem, imagining, prototyping, and testing the dummy design.
The BBA (Sem V) students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts once again showed their academic excellence in the Guru Nanak Dev University exam. Niharika took fourth position with 249/350 and Pawni got ninth position with 244/350. The Director, Dr Neerja Dhingra, congratulated the winners and wished them success and a bright future in their lives. She commended and applauded the efforts of Monica Mogla, HOD, Department of Commerce, Payal Arora and Talwinder Kaur for motivating and encouraging students to achieve their goal.
Eight DAVIET students get jobs
Eight students from various departments at DAVIET have been selected for Whitehat Jr, who will work for the company and continue their studies simultaneously. Selected students will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 12,000 plus incentives of up to Rs 12,000 per week and upon graduation their pay would be 3 LPA to 5 LPA. The company selected the students after a technical and HR interview. Selected students Neha Sareen, Parneet Kaur, Shreya Arora, Pawni, Shubahngi, Muskan Jain, Sakshi Sadana and Nilakshi Ayri explained that they started to prepare early for the internship and focused on developing their interpersonal skills as well. as on improving their knowledge of central areas.
Organized brainstorming competition
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya’s PG Department of Commerce and Business Administration organized the national inter-university competition – Brainstorm online. The competition saw participation from different parts of India including Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh. Six activities were planned – Logoli, E-quiz, poster creation, business plan, business tycoons and rumors and humor in the promotion of Covid products. TNS
